Anne joined Living Cities in 2022 to stand up a new fund focused on increasing the number of diverse capital allocators in the U.S., bringing her substantial international experience, diverse financial background, and knowledge of entrepreneurship to the organization. Prior, Anne worked with major and boutique private equity and real estate investment companies, multiple seed and early-stage investment companies, a Big Four accounting firm and one of the world’s biggest tech companies.
Anne has always had a passion for entrepreneurship and social equity. She has worked with refugee organizations, supported immigrant families, and was involved in the creation and scaling of social impact startups, including the Germany-based D2C food and lifestyle company Essen ohne Kohlenhydrate and Audacity Labs. With her brother Alexander Grimme, she built a community of 1 million+ people across different channels, selling proprietary products to 300K+ customers. She also created a platform to democratize alternative medicine modalities and was involved in the creation of
and led the lean-startup cohort for a Durham-based incubator and co-working space with the goal to democratize entrepreneurship at high schools.
Anne received her MBA with a concentration in Finance and a Management Science and Technology certificate from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where she served as the co-president of the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club (EVCC) and closely collaborated with investor groups, entrepreneurs, and faculty members. Anne also served as a mentor for entrepreneurs at Duke.
